Loving someone and being in love doesn’t have to feel so hard.

Online couples therapy in Illinois

  • Maybe you and your partner are arguing more than you used to.

  • Maybe you act more like roommates than lovers.

  • Maybe an affair or an addiction has left you wounded and afraid.

It doesn’t have to be like this.

You CAN experience the love you long for from each other.

But getting there often takes a different kind of couples therapy, one that’s grounded in relentless empathy, intense focus, and the science of what actually works to bring couples closer together.

Hi, I’m Amy Markley

I’m a relationship therapist, a wife, and a mother.

And my passion is helping couples get the love they long for from each other.

I practice emotionally focused couples therapy (or “EFT”) because it’s the gold standard in couples therapy. But even more so, I practice EFT because I see firsthand how it transforms people’s relationships.

“A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.”
